Our Course Plan

Management of Our Course

In 2012, after 9 years of playing our new course at Ballinamuddagh, Bray Golf Club prepared a detailed development plan for the course. The plan was based on a review by leading course development architect Ken Kearney and took into account the experiences of our members and our guests. The simple objective of the plan is an excellent course. The plan was adopted by our members in late 2012.

Now, by 2018,  much progress has been made with key developments delivered:
o    Reconstruction of our 2nd Green with bunkers and landscaping.
o    Reconstruction of our 18th Green with new greenside Bunkers
o    Redevelopment of bunkers on our 1st and 13th holes.
o    Conversion of our 1st hole to a Par 5, Index 15.
o    Conversion of our 5th hole to a Par 4, Index 1.

The next major development to be unveiled in the early part of 2020 is the completion of the new 4th hole and the conversion of the existing 4th to a top class short game practice area.

Importantly Bray Golf Club adopted a club Policy for our course. This describes the responsibilities with respect to the course of our staff, committees and members. The resources employed to ensure the course is maintained in prime condition are clearly outlined.

The Course Committee, led by Gerry Kennedy, and our Head Green-keeper, John Bishop, appreciate all commentary and suggestions on the course as key inputs to keeping our course one of the best in Ireland. You can send your coments to John at course.superintendent@braygolfclub.com
